Horehound (Marrubium vulgare)

Horehound is often used to make cough medicines and is a great herb for people who have upper respiratory symptoms, especially caused by acid reflux. The marubiinic acid in the herb stimulates the release of phlegm and stimulates the release of gastric acids. Also because horehound is mildly analgesic, it helps relieve pain caused by cough or indigestion.

I like to use horehound as a tea but it can also be used in tinctures, and encapsulations.
