Morgan Botanicals

I am a Certified Professional Herbalist and Environmental Horticulture Graduate and I currently teach a local Junior Master Gardener Program (Kern Chapter) here in Tehachapi. I have completed Certifications in Introductory Aromatherapy, California Master Gardener, and Ornamental Horticulture. My background also includes Landscape Design and Crop Science. Before setting out to create Morgan Botanicals, I was a botanical research biologist for the University of California Stanislaus- working to protect endangered CA native plant species. I have completed a three year course of herbal study under Michael Tierra at the East West School of Herbology, and was awarded the tile of Certified Herbalist. My continuing education includes all aspects of the science and art of Herbalism including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and Botany as well as Clinical Nutrition. I have completed a three year course of herbal study under Michael Tierra at the East West School of Planetary Herbology, and was awarded the title of Certified Herbalist. My 17 year passion for gardening, holistic nutrition and herbology have led me to develop Morgan Botanicals where I can share not only my knowledge of plants, but also to help people reconnect with the wonders of the plant kingdom.

All of my herbal products are hand crafted using fresh grown botanicals and ingredients. My salves and balms are made by blending fresh herbs with pure oils and solar infused in the mountains of California; then combined with pure, unbleached, unrefined beeswax which I get from The Community Exchange and pure essential oils. I try to grow and acquire many of our herbs locally. The Morgan Family owns and operates a three acre apple orchard along with fresh produce and herbs in Tehachapi. I sell locally to businesses, midwives, and have a yearly booth at the Tehachapi Farmers' Market. Morgan Botanicals supports locally grown produce, local trade/barter and green businesses.

My goal for Morgan Botanicals is to create nurturing and holistic herbal products. I live in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains of California with my husband and our four children, three of which were born at home accompanied by our midwife.
